All children can learn.

All children have their own special pace at which they children.

All children can learn when provided with the most conducive learning environment.

A school is primarily a “learning” institution and not a “teaching” institution.

Teaching is not something that we DO to children. It is learning that we help them DO!

There are no teachers at aatman. ONLY “LEARNING FACILITATORS”.

Assessment FOR learning and not assessment OF learning.

Inclusion is about diverse learners learning together. Aatman is an INCLUSIVE SCHOOL.

The Aatman Academy’s customized learning programme is highly focused and caters to individual learning needs and personal learning styles and also provides in-built remediation therapy and counselling inputs.

Ask any student… who has been at Aatman for five hours or five years, what is it that they like the most about the academy and pat comes the answer “Everyone is so friendly. I never get stressed here!”. And this feeling we believe comes from the genuine respect that is maintained for one and all, respect for diversities and respect for uniqueness!

This can be defined in many different ways but the most significant form of freedom that Aatman helps its students with is “the freedom to be their own self!” Happy to be ME is the underlying tone of every learner at Aatman!

Learning by doing is the best and the most effective way of learning. The academy believes in transacting all classes through the experiential or hands-on method where children drive their own learning through research and presentations. A combination of the IBL -UDL approaches makes the learning rich and robust and well rounded!

Functional

Everything that students learn at Aatman is Functional and deeply impacts their lives today and their existence in the future. We ensure that children see the direct or indirect connection of whatever they learn with their daily routines and their lifestyles!
Our programme borrows heavily from the 12 life skills proposed by the WHO.

Fun

The word says it all! Be it a Math class or a dance movement therapy session, be it a thinking skills period or a History lesson…..learning at Aatman…no matter what it may be, is always fun and that also means tension free! And then there is RIO, Aatman’s very own therapy dog. With him around the campus everyday…there’s never a dull moment!
